Hello Everyone,
It is 9:00pm Wednesday night. We unfortunately did not get our needed signature from the Minister of Education. We waited all day in our hotel room and finally found out at 6:30 that it did not happen and we would have to hope for tomorrow. Disappointed and slightly discouraged we headed to town to walk and get a bite to eat. We had a nice meal out on a covered patio. We know God is in control and continually have to trust Him. As Tom put it, "I am having to surrender my agenda every hour." We do not understand, but know that when everything is done and we have our daughter, this will all seem insignificant.
We did talk to someone in the department and hopefully will be able to get the Minister's signature and a referal tomorrow. We are supposed to be taking a train late tomorrow night back to Moscow so we can fly home Friday. We might have to extend our stay depending on how things go tomorrow. We are definitely ready to go home, but will wait to see what happens.
We would appreciate your prayers for us and that we would be able to meet our daughter tomorrow. We also pray for wisdom for the decisions we will have to make the next couple of days.

Hi Tom & Cheri! I'm sorry you have had to wait. I can imagine you both are on pins and needles. The whole thing is so exciting! I don't even know what to say other than I'm glad you both made it there safely and that the wait is basically over. It seems like its been a long time since you started the whole process. But you're there! And you'll be home in a few days!

Hang in there and it will all work out in the end. You will soon have a new and wonderfull daughter that God wants you to have.

I have been waiting to get in all day and see if I have a new neice. I can't get on at work, blogging is not permitted, apparently. I'm sad to hear it didn't all go through on Wed., but was very encouraged when I looked at the clock and realized it is already morning there on Thursday and news is coming sooner than I thought. I love you guys and can't wait to find out anything. God knows the perfect timing for all of this.
We are eagerly awaiting the news... Doug, Michelle and the gang.
PS: I had the baby 2 days ago. It was a boy.
Just kidding :)
OK, it's 7:10 am on Friday morning there, and I have waited all day for an update to find youdidn't write yesterday. What ended happening. I love you guys!!!
