God is Faithful!

I'm back and want to say although yesterday was hard with Dasha, she really has done great and is very loving. Today has been a good day. She seems to do better when the three of us just hang out together. We were going to go for a walk and see the sites of Nizhny, but it was so cold we had to turn around and go back to the hotel before we saw anything. We are hoping tomorrow will be warmer. Daha is funny and makes us laugh even though we don't know what she is saying. She seems to be attaching to us which is really good news. She clings to us when she is nervous or in new situations. Today after trying to figure out train tickets and hotel rooms, I sat on the bed and started to cry. Dasha came over and put her arms around me. She did not like to see me cry.

God is so good and faithful. I was so nervous about going on this trip without Tom. I rely on him a lot. I didn't understand why God would have me go without him. Haven't I learned to trust God enough through this journey? But now I have no one to rely on except for God. And I have seen that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. He sends people to help, but He is the Helper and sourse of strengh and peace. Thank you for all who are praying for the three of us. We need it, and we know that He is answering.

I am so excited to see how God is answering your prayers as you are in Russia. I will continue to pray for the three of you as you finish your time in Russia and come back to MN. God is so faithful and He will never leave your side!

(((((((Cheri))))))) You and the girls have rarely been out of my thoughts in the days since you've been gone. I keep praying that you will feel His Presence carrying you. Praising Him that you can already sense Dasha attaching to you and Bethany.

We are continuing to pray that the myriads of details will keep falling into place for you and the girls - and that you won't feel too overwhelmed by it all. I've always wondered why my biggest times of spiritual growth don't seem to come when I'm on "the mountaintop" but rather when I'm slogging through the shadows of a seemingly endless valley. Continuing to uphold you before the Throne of Grace, dSister. Love you - Lois P

Dearest Cheri, I'm so glad that God is showing you His special love and protection and provision during this very important trip. I suspect some of the things you and God are doing together now will be continued in the US as you parent and love little Dasha and as she becomes part of your wonderful family. I'll keep praying for you all! And, PRAISE GOD Bethany is there too! I'd love to meet the adult Bethany, as the last time I saw her she wasn't even walking, I don't think!

Cheri, Bethany and Dasha,

You have been in our thoughts and prayers daily. We also praise God for His help, strength and guidance He is giving you. Sounds like you three are bonding well and we are so thankful for that.
We will continue to keep you all in prayer as you continue your journey and prepare to come home. God bless you each. God is good!!!

love, The Franzones

Cheri,

We're going to keep you in our prayers tonight and in the year ahead. I think Dasha will adjust to America and your family just fine with a little time. God will be by your side through any bumps in the road.
